Yes Yes I know, you think it’s impossible right? We all know, for many Japanese English learners, Katakana is the source of a lot of misery in learning English but sometimes, just sometimes, you can use it for your advantage.
Let’s look at a simple example:
What are you doing on the weekend?
Okay, now if you are Japanese, I want you to break the sentence down as follows:
1-what are you=ワラヤ
2-doing
3-On the=オンア
4-weekend
Of course, it won’t sound natural if you say it slowly, but if you say the Katakana parts quickly, it will sound pretty smooth and more native-like. Try it and see.
